The McDonald’s BTS Meal Bag is a meal sold at McDonald’s to collaborate with the South Korean band BTS on May 26, 2021. It comes with 10 or 9 pieces of Chicken McNuggets, medium French fries, a medium Coke, and two dipping sauces-Sweet Chilli and Cajun. Popular South Korean recipes inspired the sauces.
It debuted in countries like the United States, Austria, Paraguay, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, etc. The meal later reached a total of 50 countries.

The BTS meal has different servings in different restaurants, do not be surprised if you walk into a Mcdonald’s in Singapore and get fries in Large. However, the standard BTS meal has medium Fries and a medium Coke.
Sweet Chilli & Cajun Dipping Sauces
These two sauces are what make this meal unique. One has a sweet taste to It, and the other is spicy. Worth trying!
If not for anything else, order the BTS meal for the sauces. One may argue that the items on the BTS Meal are somewhat regular meals at McDonald’s, but the sauces are exciting, and something you may want to try,
The Sweet Chilli and Cajun dipping sauces are inspired by popular South Korean recipes, therefore not something that has been on the McDonald’s menu before. They are both smooth, with one being spicy and the other somewhat sweet. Grab a BTS Meal, try the sauces, and see how you like it.

How To Order Mcdonald’s BTS Meal Bag
The McDonald BTS Meal is only available on the McDonalds app or Postmates due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Log on to the McDonalds app, click on the Deals button, click on the BTS Meal, and wait for your delivery.
In some countries such as the Philippines, you can get the BTS Meal via Drive-Thru, take out and dine in as long as COVID-19 protocols are observed.
McDonald’s Philippines also opened a reservation window for the BTS Meal for people who wanted to get the meal with custom packaging. The reservation window is between 8 am and 10 am on June 15, 2021.

Mcdonald’s BTS Meal Bag History
The BTS Meal made its debut on May 26, 2021, in some countries such as The United States, Austria, Paraguay, Bahamas, Israel, Brazil, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Colombia, Philippines, Sint Maarten, etc.
In a month, the meal had made it to fifty countries. The meal became a hit in many countries, with Singapore and Indonesia reporting big crowds ordering the meal.
The sauces, however, are only available for a short amount of time. The BTS meal also came with its unique packaging, purple, a BTS color; if you know BTS, you know they love purple and the McDonalds logo.
The BTS meal was the first collaboration Mcdonald’s did with a celebrity and went on sale globally.
Since its first release, the BTS meal Bag has made over 1.2 million sales. It’s the same case in other countries where the K-Pop superstars are beloved; the sales of McNuggets skyrocketed.
Unfortunately, the BTS meal was only available in the USA until June 20, 2021. It is unclear how long BTS fans will buy the Merchandise or the BTS meal in other countries.
The McDonald’s collaboration also led to the drop of Merchandise inspired by the loved color of BTS- purple, a Mcdonald’s logo.
The Merchandise includes bathrobes, T-shirts, hoodies, socks, and sandals. The merchandise line is available for purchase on the Weverse Shop App.
BTS went out of their way to make this make unique, if you ask me, personalized packaging, merch, the two magical sauces, and the song “Butter” to add to the experience. Pure genius!

What Is BTS
BTS (The Bangtan Boys) is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 but released their first song in 2013. The band, also known as the Bangtan Boys, consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
They started as a hip hop group but later branched out to different genres, with music touching on mental health, loss, self-love journey, individualism, and young-man troubles.
BTS released two albums in 2014 in Korean and Japanese. The second album, Wings, released in 2016, sold one million copies in South Korea.
They then made their way into the global music market, leading the K-pop wave into the United States, breaking several records.
They received certification by RIAA for their single “Mic Drop.” And for being the first Korean Act to top the US Billboard 200 with their album, “Love Yourself.” Their single hit “Dynamite” earned a Grammy nomination and the US Billboard 100.
They have been compared countless times to Micahel Jackson for how fast they are topping the US music market.
BTS has maintained brand endorsements such as with Puma since 2015. They first started as Puma’s Korean brand ambassadors and later became global brand ambassadors for the same brand.
They also signed with Fila in 2019 to promote its sportswear. They have also been brand ambassadors for big companies such as LG, Hyundai Motors, Samsung Electronics, and Formula E.
Since April 2021, they have been Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors. Their latest collaboration was with McDonald’s, The BTS Meal, which was only available for a limited time.
